Xune Work Culture: ‘Tis the Season to be Busy, Fa La La La La

Six colleagues celebrating success in an open plan office

Welcome to Xune Culture. This section is dedicated to giving you an insight into what happens behind the scenes, providing a weekly blog full of our current tasks and up to date achievements.

No Rest for the Wicked (*wickedly amazing*)

Although the weather is becoming increasingly icy, the team is working up a sweat, delivering services and meeting deadlines swiftly throughout the week.

As our managing director, Misha, is onboarding clients in plenty, our creative director, Anna, is busy organising plans and allocating tasks to the team, keeping us all on our toes.

Jacob, Xune’s Web Design and Developer, has built a website in the space of a few days, whilst also juggling an array of other tasks such as mapping website performances and conducting maintenance checks.

Xune’s Web Developer, Robert, is giving his all to one client, focussing on an app design in intricate detail; integrating flows and creating page prototypes.

Such hard work comes naturally to the team, who really care about their clients and Xune itself.

Meet the Team: Week 2

Last week welcomed our “4 Weeks of Christmas”, a feature dedicated to presenting Xune’s employees in further detail.

It is Week 2 which means (sing along):

“On the second week of Christmas, Xune Solutions gave to me; our Digital Marketing Apprentice, Maggie”.

Here is what Maggie had to say:

What is the best part about working for Xune?

I’m not sure there is one, I love everything about Xune from the super-talented people that I get to work with to the actual work tasks that I really do enjoy doing.

How would you describe the team in three words?

Amazingly talented & eccentric.

Do you have any favourite tasks?

Blog writing and Facebook ads are my favourite things to do. They’re probably the most creative so they’re usually pretty fun.

What task are you completing right now?

Right now I’m working on quite a few things. I’m working on completing some competitor analysis and social media strategy for one client. I’m writing a pillar page blog about website design. I’ve almost always got some Facebook Ads to do and I’ve just finished off a campaign to increase sales for a product for one of our clients.

If you were a superhero, what would your power be?

I’d love to be able to fly so I could get to work quicker and sleep for longer on a morning.

What would your superhero name be?

Cat whisperer.

Pick a colleague and describe what superhero power you would assign to them.

I’d give Anna the power to multiply herself so she can answer everyone’s questions and be in the hundred different places she always needs to be at once.

How do you have your coffee?

Black and strong.

What is your favourite lunch?

That’s a toss-up between a proper bacon sarnie and a hummus and falafel wrap. I could never pick between those.

Do you have any hobbies?

I do some pencil art in my spare time, that’s always fun. I’m also a massive movie buff so I spend a lot of my time on Netflix.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Hmmmmmm probably ‘Sleepwalking’ by Bring Me the Horizon.

Lastly, what is your favourite thing about Christmas?

I can start drinking in the morning and no one can judge.

(if that’s not PG enough then: stuffing my face and watching Love Actually).
